


Bill has over 30 years experience in the automobile industry
in Canada and is familiar with all aspects of the business,
having owned and operated several large dealerships in Toronto
and the United States. Bill was also the Canadian importer
and distributor for Lotus and Jensen automobiles and established
a dealer network for these automobiles.
Throughout
his career Bill has operated a dealership for most all manufacturers
available. Through the 1980’s Bill became the largest
dealer for Maserati in North America, as a result became the
importer and distributor for Maserati in Canada.
Bill’s
recent endeavours through the 90’s and
into the new millennium have included a Chrysler
Dodge Jeep and Kia franchise in Toronto.

Bill Brack is internationally known
as one of the foremost Canadian race drivers of all time,
having raced in three Canadian Formula One Grand
Prix, in 1968 for the legendary Team Lotus F-1, as well as
in 1969 and 1972 for Team BRM F-1.

Bill Brack’s racing career stretched from the early
1960’s to the late 1970’s
• Bill spent the
early 60’s driving a Mini, which culminated with him
winning the 1967 Canadian Touring Car Championship.
• In 1968 Bill
drove a Lotus 41, capturing the Canadian Formula Car Championship.
Also in 1968, Bill drove for Lotus F-1 in the Canadian Grand
Prix.
• Bill was selected
to drive for the BRM Formula One Team in the 1970 and 1972
Canadian F-1 Grand Prix.
• Bill Brack was
Canadian Driving Champion in 1973 – 1974 – 1975,
the only Canadian driver to win this award three times,
he did it in three consecutive years.
• Bill Brack was
the first Formula Atlantic Champion in 1974 and repeated
this in 1975, becoming the first of only four drivers ever
to win back-to-back championships in the 30 plus years of
Formula Atlantic racing in North America.
• Bill retired
from serious racing competition in 1978, but still enjoys
driving his Atlantic winning Lotus 59/69 and a vintage Mini
Cooper in selected vintage race meets.

In 1993, Bill Brack was the first person to be inducted
into the Canadian Motorsports Hall of Fame.
